Hidden Gems Tours are casual events designed by Preservation Raleigh to showcase some of Raleigh’s most captivating, yet often unseen, architecture.

On September 13, 2025, Preservation Raleigh hosted a special Hidden Gems tour of the historic chapel at St. Augustine’s University for our supporters. We were pleased with the turnout and grateful to share one of our city’s “Places in Peril”.
The event was a success, and we are so grateful for our community’s continued involvement. This was the second of our Hidden Gems tours, which are exclusively for supporters of Preservation Raleigh. The first tour took place on October 26, 2024, and featured the renovated Fire Station 4 (seen below), a unique private residence located between South Brooklyn and Five Points.
We hope to have our next Hidden Gems tour soon.
